It is hard to work in development world without true values, they guide us in everything we do.
We work on different domains and on various projects in developing the region.
Here we have Associations, Foundations, interprises and other organisations that believe in us and support our mission.
Our Values
An error can be easily made in this field one that can make the whole project turn into a disaster, so we are careful on the impact and the image our presence will give, even though the need is real and justifiable we have to be very careful not to impose european values and living style to the beneficiaries of our support.
Our support is a blessing but the difference in culture is so huge that we could easily set foot in the wrong place and hurt people, which is not needed.
If our support gives the beneficiaries liberty to define their destiny and that allows them to overcome simple life obstacles and be actors of their lives then our goal has been fulfilled.
Health, education, water, food security, economy generating projects, supporting needy children as well as listening to the people express their views and respecting their ways of doing without interfering with the culture and tradition but to develop better what they have is our best support.
Our presence has already brought some improvements, the area is on the move in the right direction, which is allowing the inhabitants to work in cooperation and be actors of their lives rather than simple spectators.
Here we have Associations, Foundations, interprises and other organisations that believe in us and support our mission.
Through them we have been managing projects since 2003, we also thanks our committee members and their families and friends who have made this work possible along the years.
We sincerely thank you all for making this mission to improved living standard of Khachonge population possible.
Marc has been a family friend for the last 20 years. We can always count on him in our annual events, it’s not only his love for Evelyne’s coconut lentils but because he believes in what we do.
He is a talented artisan in pastry and during charity diner, we get excellent desserts both spectacular and tasty, you can see his work in the photo gallery, thousand thanks to him and his family that never misses our diner
Maria Sägesser Cocco, the fouder of Friendly Workshop (d’Atelier-Amitié) has supported our work for years, she has sourced funds for us in places we couldn’t go mainly from “Masikini Foundation”.
Her help has gained her a special position here and working with her has helped us grow and become the structure we are now. Her investments made a huge impact in local schools.
The state of Vaud supports us with games/sports kits and materials and stationary through CADEV this support is channelled to the schools in the region.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank CADEV for allowing these schools to have access to unaffordable kits for the children of Khachonge.
It was through Edo Carrasco, an ex footballer who is now the director of “Il Gabbiano” Foundation, that we came in touch with the owner Mr.Calanni. in charge of “Feel Free” a sports shop.
Mr Calanni is a generous man he gave us a huge quantity of football and games kits (trainers, joggers, track suite, bags etc.) all these were brought to KhaLuSiBwa primary schools.
Our appreciation to Mr. Calanni and his “Feel Free” family as well as to Mr. Edo Carrasco who gave us this opportunity.
AHPT foundation supports us on regular basis they have allowed us to complete several programs, especially for HIV/AIDS orphans. Their financial support helped these orphans go to school to give them a better future. We also brought a number of help to primary schools, desks, windows, toilets etc.
This periodical support is useful to our projects, they follow what we do since the beginning, AHPT foundation keeps a very low profile but very present when we need them. We can count on their fidel support that has made us survive since year 2003 and allow us to help besides our limited means. We sincerely thank them for this stable support.
Our partnership with GHOL has been a long time cooperation for many years now, we cherish dearly this special friendship. Thanks to Dr.Martin Peter, our project was presented to GHOL’s management team, who accepted the project and trusted in what we are doing and supported the dispensary since its beginning. This structure has turned into a perfoming medical center that treated more than 3000 people every year and saved so many live.
Now we closed the loop by putting the structure back in the hands of the local authoritites who will maintain the function as health center.
